About Keel Films

Geraldine Patten began working in the film industry eleven years ago and has worked for many US and UK producers, including David Heyman, the producer of the ‘Harry Potter’ films.

In 2007 she established Keel Films and has acquired a broad slate of feature film projects. She has received development funding from the UK Film Council for MAPS FOR LOST LOVERS which is an adaptation by Rukhsana Ahmad, of the Booker long-listed novel by Nadeem Aslam. Geraldine is also producing the comedy feature A FANTASTIC FEAR OF EVERYTHING which will be directed by Crispian Mills.

Recent productions include the short film ‘Love Does Grow on Trees’ by the writer/director Bevan Walsh, which was nominated for a BIFA, having won the Best Newcomer award at Rushes Soho Shorts 2008. The film has been in competition at festivals worldwide and was recently named one of the top five short films at Tribeca by New York Magazine. Geraldine has also produced 'Morning Echo' by Hope Dickson Leach, which was funded by Film London and the UK Film Council and stars Kerry Fox (pictured below).

In 2009 Geraldine was named a runner-up in the British Council’s Young Screen Entrepreneur Awards and also chosen as one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow.
